女詩人愛酪特（Elliot， Emily Elizabeth Steel 1836-97)根據聖經路加福音2﹕7「放在馬槽裡，因為客店裡沒有地方。」寫成的一首內容很特別的聖誕節詩歌。其中心不在主的降生，乃強調主在地上的生活和職事。其受苦和犧牲，和衪光榮的再臨。詩人使用這詩教導主日學的兒童，認識我們的救主。這詩有兩個樂譜，我採用孫蓋（Ira Sankey)的版本。
